James Miller Minor is a native of Natchez, Mississippi. He is the son of the late Mr. William C. Minor and Mrs. Louverna Minor. He is married to Alisa Fitzgerald Minor and they have two children - a son, Christopher and a daughter, Jamesila.
He acknowledged his calling into the ministry on November 3, 1996. His initial sermon was preached on December 1, 1996, at Zion Full Gospel World Ministries. Since his calling into the ministry, he was appointed to work within Zion on the Prison Ministry, New Members Orientation and One Flesh Ministry (married couples). He was Church School Teacher, Spiritual Counselor, and also served on the Television Ministry.
In 1997, True Christ Outreach Ministries was created under the vision of founder and pastor James M. Minor. Led by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Minor along with seven other individuals believing God for what He says, formed True Christ Outreach Ministries in Norcross, Georgia. The doors were opened on Sunday, June 8, 1997. He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry and installed as prelate of True Christ Outreach Ministries on July 14, 1997 by Pastor Larry Minor of Greater Friendly Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida and Pastor Curtis Phelps of New Clark Street Breakthrough Center of Atlanta, Georgia. True Christ was incorporated on October 21, 1997.
Pastor Minor's vision is to teach the Word in a manner that all will be able to understand so that all will know without doubt that the Lord's will is for us to have abundant life on earth and to have everlasting life.
